Great for Connor. He is one of the top pitchers in patriot league history.
Yes, the slot value is about $160,000. However fourth year seniors, who have no other options, often end up getting far less as teams use them to create more available money for harder to sign high school players and juniors.

Just took a look at signings for the past few years. College seniors typically have received less than 20% of the slot value. In fact many sign for $10k or less.

As an 8th round pick and being a college player, he’ll be fast tracked. Short season A ball this year. High A ball to Double A next year. AA ball to AAA third year. Fighting for MLB roster spot at 26. If he really shines he could get a September call up end of his third year.
