The Lions not getting any love from ScarletNation.com over at 247 Sports.

- Columbia
Hoops is not the biggest thing going on at Columbia, especially after last season’s 8-19 finish which featured out-of-conference wins against only Maine and Sarah Lawrence College. While Columbia hung around in several of its losses, adding the Lions to the schedule and dropping a team like NJIT can be considered a downgrade. Columbia is also not as deep as NJIT, which means Rutgers should be able to run the Lions off the court by the second half. -

Hopefully, the Lions can use this for some motivation.

Rutgers should not be overconfident about any opponent. Their last winning record was 2005-06. They have never finished above .500 in conference since they left the A-10 and even when they were in the A-10, have not had an over-.500 conference record since '90-'91. That may be the worst overall futility record in Division 1. Go Lions.
