Actually, he played Friday in their first exhibition against an Australian pro team. Had 8 points on two 3's and a big dunk. Mike comes in at around 6:00 into this video.

Mike is being counted on to play a major bench role with Illyasova gone. Something they want him to do is hit 3’s. Unfortunately, he was 0-4 tonite from there but he did manage 7 boards. Mike has a real opportunity to be a significant piece for a playoff team, I hope he takes advantage.

Being a Sixers' fan, I try to watch at least 1 game a week. They are desperate for outside shooting. So, if Mike can make some shots, he will get quality PT.

Mike had a modest stat line last night in 23 minutes with the exception of his +16.

The Sixers were clearly better with him on the court.

Just ugh. I know Mike's got a good head on his shoulders and will re-double his work for the team. Looking forward to all the good vibes he'll bring to the Sixers.

I didn’t read the twitter comments from Mike’s father but apparently they were ugly. Unfortunate that people have here feelings and view of the world. And unfortunate for Mike that his father is one of those people and one who can not control himself on public media.

As for Mike, as a lifelong Sixers fan I am excited to watch him play in Philly. I hope he gets his shot going as that is one thing he is being counted on to do. Best of luck to him.

This goes without saying but I can't imagine Mike shares his father's bigotry. Mike is a good teammate to everyone, is well-educated and traveled and I can't see him harboring hate in his heart.

Too bad for Mike that this injury happened. I didn’t know he was hurt until I watched the game last night. Man, this team continues to be a turnover machine, mostly the lazy, bonehead variety. Add in the largely awful shot selection and I wondered what Dave Paulsen would be like on the sideline of that team. There’s not enough cups of water.

I watched the entire game...Mike rarely got the ball. As a team, the Sixers lack any kind of defensive cohesiveness and take some terrible shots. With the night Saric was having, I think they would’ve been better off letting Mike play down the stretch.

Sixers getting hammered tonight in Toronto. No constest. Sixers are just so undisciplined overall. Mike not having a bad night, but this team shoots a ton of three’s for a team that’s not good at it. At least lately they’ve been terrible.

Mike's final numbers were pretty good: 2-2 on twos, 1-3 on threes, 5-5 on FT's, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist in 16 minutes.

Some Sixers fans are suggesting Mike should be starting ahead of Saric, who is hitting 49% on twos and 23% on threes. In his small sample size, Mike is hitting 39% on threes and 100% (6-6) on twos. Mike has a slightly higher rebound rate as well, and has blocked more shots.

Embiid, Simmons, and Muscala would make for an interesting, and very tall, starting line up.

Mike got 27 minutes of PT. He looked a little rusty and the protective facemask looked uncomfortable. He was only 3-11 but scored 13 points and grabbed 8 boards. He had time at both the 4 and 5. I was surprised to see him take most of Amir Johnson's minutes. Also, it was good to see Mike in at crunch time toward the end of the 4th Q. He drained an open 3 to give the Sixers a 7 point (?) lead that basically put it out of reach for the Heat.

BTW, he had a great pass to Ben Simmons for an easy dunk.

I hope that Mike continues to get more PT.

He was 3-10 from 3 and 3-11 overall. But iirc he was 1-6 from 3 in the 1st half so went 2-4 in the 2nd half. That's a lot of 3pt shots for a 4/5. Hopefully, he starts making them more consistently and can ditch the mask in the near future.

I also hope he is able to do more than shoot 3’s. He made some good passes out of the high post, maybe he can take some mid-range jumpers instead of shooting only from 25+’.

I am going to guess that the sixers trade for a bigger body to play the 4-5 position and aquire another shooter. Mike had a very tough matchup last night. I believe he was put on the magic big guy so Embid didn’t pick up all the fouls.

It is nice to see Mike getting quality minutes on a good team. I hope he is able to play well and stay relevant in the rotation. We have tickets for the Dec 14 game and I’d hate not to be able to see Mike play. I think they way he is used, he has to hit open 3’s with higher consistency and play good defense.

In 23 minutes tonight, Mike had 6 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block. Sixers lost at Toronto however.

In their previous game, a win over Memphis, Mike had 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in 28 minutes as a starter. Hit 2-3 on threes.

With Joel Embiid being rested tonight, Mike played 32 minutes in a win at Detroit. Had 18 points, 3-4 on twos and 4-9 on threes. Also 3 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 assists, and a steal while being matched up frequently with Andre Drummond. Mike's three blocks were all in the final six minutes of the game, with the 76ers clinging to a slim lead.

Watched a lot of this Detroit game on local Philly TV here in Allentown. Local announcers raved about Mike's game. Great defense & banged some key three's. Just a lot of fun watching Patriot League guys do well in the NBA. Obviously does not happen often. David Robinson & Foyle I believe are the only two I can think of, beyond C.J & Mike. But was it the Patriot league when Foyle & The Admiral played?

Also nice to see Mike's Bucknell degree paying off so well. ($ 5 mil/year).....

I hope Mike has a quick recovery, since we are going to see the game on Friday. Also see there is a fan bus for the March 15 game against Sacramento. $75 per person.

Finally got to Philly but a bad night for Mike and the Sixers. Mike played 17 minutes, 1-8 shooting (0-6 from 3), 3 rebounds, 1 turnover. Appeared not at full strength. I wish they wouldn’t rely on him as a 3-pt specialist. Overall the team just doesn’t play tough defense and without Butler, have limited consistent offensive options.

Much better game for Mike last night. Maybe he's over his illness. Played 24 minutes, with 8 points, 6 boards, 3 blocks, and 1 steal. Hit 4-7 from the field.

ESPN on twitter with a video of Mike blocking a shot by James Harden:

The Sixers got a big win over Houston. Mike only had 2 points but did have 5 rebounds and played 24 minutes - more than he has played in recent games.

Seems like an odd way for an interview/discussion to end. And it seems there are a few obvious questions that weren’t asked. I would have asked how it feels playing on a quality team hoping to go far into the playoffs. What he feels his best qualities/skills are on a basketball court. Throughout his career he’s always had a good mid-range game, is he comfortable with his role on the Sixers predominantly shooting threes? Just a few off the top of my head.

I think overall, Mike has had very consistent playing time, even when he wasn’t playing very well. His defense is below-average so to help the team he has to hit shots, namely 3’s. And to be frank, he hasn’t been consistent with that. In my view, Mike has been given a great opportunity to be in the rotation for a contender and maybe hasn’t taken full advantage. At the same time, I think Mike offers more offensively than being a 3-point specialist and I do wish he was given more of a chance to use those skills.

With the lineup that the Sixers have, their need is outside shooting. So, for now, that is the roll that Mike has to fill.

I love it! Moose is creating a personal highlight reel of blocks against future Hall of Famers. First, Harden. Now, Curry. LeBron is next! Good to see he got most of his minutes with the starters when the game was in the balance in the 4th quarter.

After yelling, "GO BISON!!!" following a Muscala free throw at the Sixers game last night, I woke up to learn that he got traded to the Clippers along with a host of players and draft picks for Tobias Harris (20.7ppg). Bye-bye, Moose. Good luck!

Glad I got to a game in Philly last month and here's hoping that great stat line Mike put up in Staples Center a few weeks ago was foreshadowing things to come in his LA stay.

I was wondering if the Sixers would re-sign him since he played with Elton Brand in Atlanta. That answers that question. Would love to see him reunited with Coach Bud (and Charles Lee) in Milwaukee, but not sure that's a good fit.

Mike is in the final year of his contract which is a big deal in the NBA. I wonder if he will get moved again before the deadline.

Doubt he gets moved again. Clippers are all in on getting Kawhi Leonard and another big name free agent this off-season (ie hard for the expiring contract to have more value than it already does for them).

As for playing time I think it will largely stay the same. Expect Mike to still largely be splitting minutes with Wilson Chandler when healthy just like in Philly.

nh2032, got it. So, it is an expiring contract play for the Clippers. If so, they definitely do not want to move him again. That means that Mike will be a free agent after this season, and hopefully, he will get a nice contract back in Philly or someplace else.

Philly will not be resigning him. But certainly Mike will find a home woth another NBA team, maybe not at $5 mill per season.

according to Todd at the BB Luncheon, doesn't look as if the 76ers will offer refunds on tickets. Not sure how many would eat the price of the trip.
