Good luck to Moose as he starts his career as a Sixer tonight.

Actually, he played Friday in their first exhibition against an Australian pro team. Had 8 points on two 3's and a big dunk. Mike comes in at around 6:00 into this video.

Mike is being counted on to play a major bench role with Illyasova gone. Something they want him to do is hit 3’s. Unfortunately, he was 0-4 tonite from there but he did manage 7 boards. Mike has a real opportunity to be a significant piece for a playoff team, I hope he takes advantage.

Being a Sixers' fan, I try to watch at least 1 game a week. They are desperate for outside shooting. So, if Mike can make some shots, he will get quality PT.

Mike had a modest stat line last night in 23 minutes with the exception of his +16.

The Sixers were clearly better with him on the court.

Mike had to address some inappropriate twitter comments from his father today:

Don't use Twitter, folks. Especially if you're feeling like you want to make racially charged comments using thinly veiled burner accounts.

I have no love lost for Twitter but this is not a watch-what-you-Tweet cautionary tale.

This is, unfortunately, a don't-be-an-ignorant-raci st-ahole-in-the-first-pla ce-but-if-you-are-keep-yo ur-garbage-opinions-to-yo urself-especially-if-you' ve-built-a-career-evaluat ing-the-mental-health-of- others.

Just ugh. I know Mike's got a good head on his shoulders and will re-double his work for the team. Looking forward to all the good vibes he'll bring to the Sixers.

Go Bison!

According to the Philly.com, Muscala is expected to play a prominent roll off the bench for the Sixers:

I didn’t read the twitter comments from Mike’s father but apparently they were ugly. Unfortunate that people have here feelings and view of the world. And unfortunate for Mike that his father is one of those people and one who can not control himself on public media.

As for Mike, as a lifelong Sixers fan I am excited to watch him play in Philly. I hope he gets his shot going as that is one thing he is being counted on to do. Best of luck to him.

This goes without saying but I can't imagine Mike shares his father's bigotry. Mike is a good teammate to everyone, is well-educated and traveled and I can't see him harboring hate in his heart.

The Sixers could have really used Muscala last night. Hopefully, he will be healthy soon.

Mike has a sprained ankle. Sounds like he will miss a week or two.

Too bad for Mike that this injury happened. I didn’t know he was hurt until I watched the game last night. Man, this team continues to be a turnover machine, mostly the lazy, bonehead variety. Add in the largely awful shot selection and I wondered what Dave Paulsen would be like on the sideline of that team. There’s not enough cups of water.

Is Mike approaching the stigma of “often injured”?

Mike is expected to be available tonight and Simmons is doubtful so possibly some serious minutes if he is strong enough and ready to go.

Mike had 5 pts, 2 reb, 2 blks in 16 minutes. Sixers unfortunately lost by 1 in OT and allowed Blake Griffin to score 50 pts.
