This is the first time that I have ever heard of a head coach accepting a bribe to help a recruit get into a school. Jerome Allen, previous UPenn head coach and current Celtics assistant coach, admitted to accepting $18,000 to add a UPenn applicant to his official list of recruited players.

If he admitted to accepting one bribe, I wonder how many more he accepted???

Big fine, but a two week (reported) suspension from the Celtics? Says a lot about where ethics are these days.

And he has to repay the bribe? To who? That even seems more absurd, especially given that the briber is tangled up in charges over Medicare fraud
