You apparently (and disappointingly) are correct:

Sorry guys. Couldn't do it anymore.
Those of you who signed up for Patreon, please cancel your subscriptions. I'm not sure how to do it internally.

Thank you for all you did, Josh. From my perspective as a reader, I thought it was terrific site, with great content. I'm sorry it was not a success financially, but please don't think it was a failure from the standpoint of quality of writing or coverage.
Take care, and I wish you success in the future.

Hi Josh - really appreciated all your work, and really sorry to see your site go. I can only imagine how much blood, sweat, and tears you must have poured into it and further know how tough it can be to sustain a business like it. That said, while it might seem hard now, you should be proud of the work you did and the content you created. Know that even 3,000 miles away, folks like me really enjoyed and appreciated it. Nothing can take that away. Wish you nothing but the best, and if you're ever in Los Angeles, I'd be happy to buy you a few drinks!

A repeat message Josh but thanks for doing quality sports journalism. Sorry that it did not work out as you might have hoped.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, take care of your health! There's only one Josh. I wish only good things and good health for you.

I echo everyone's sentiments. Your work was outstanding, and your passion for Philly basketball was evident. COBL always was a great read and informative. Now it is time for you to take care of yourself. Be assured: you let no one down. Don't give that another thought. You hung in there far longer than anyone else would have done and have earned everyone's admiration.

I can't help but feel that someone in my position who wasn't me could have made this work. One of you Penn grads, perhaps. I'm a terrible businessman and far too all over the place to run anything successful.

Well, next time you try something like this, perhaps you should consider partnering up with somebody who has strong administrative skills. People like that aren't hard to find. People like you, OTOH, who have journalistic chops and a passion for the subject matter, are much rarer.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Most successful people have many failures on their way to success.
Speaking from experience, I have had one startup not work out and I am trying it again a bunch of years later. DM me if you ever want to talk about it.

good luck josh. i feel badly for even making you think I was questioning your value last week. I appreciate you working up til the end to find ways to make it work. Shows a real dedication.
I really wish you wouldn't be so hard on yourself. I'm unaware of another Philadelphia based site on college and high school that lasted as long.
