Hey guys, we actually play on Tuesday and with the new ESPN+ setup, it should be possible to actually see these games without interruption.
This is a very tough game to start a season. They have an all-league quick 5'11" PG who does it all and everyone else back from last year. We may have an advantage inside, and have to use it.
Let's get psyched...and Rice follows Friday with the first home game.

It's a simple upgrade on ESPN. If you are an insider, you get it.

And if not? What kind of packages are available? I guess you can't exactly choose to pay for one team only? I can always just look myself...

I live in DC. Question for the peanut gallery. Do I:
1) Go to the game, try not to check election results every 45 seconds on my phone, and hope to enjoy the contest. Adv: See the Quakers live. Take my mind off something I have no control over. I'll be home by 10:00 or so, plenty of time to watch the returns. Dis: If the Dems absolutely kill, I'll miss out on a lot of the fun.
2) Forget the game, park myself in front of CNN and yell at the TV all night. Adv: WALL TO WALL COVERAGE. Dis: Miss my chance to see my favorite team.
3) Option2) plus watch the game on my laptop.

Definitely go to the game because if I had to put odds on which would most likely be a disappointing outcome (based on your post), I'd say Election night (unfortunately).

As to the game, I agree this is going to be a tough one, especially away. While GM wasn't that good last year, they were very young and I've seen them reported as a dark horse to win the A10. Here's to hoping we have a hell of a week of practice re-integrating the guys who weren't playing because I fully expect GM to be a better team than Hofstra when we look back on the season.

Option 1 and it's not close. If things go as society, and the entire future of this country, need them to, there will be plenty of time for enjoyment after 10pm. It's nice to see that the majority in this crowd fall on the correct side of history in this great debate.

You live in DC proper, MD or VA? What time do the polls close there?
VA has a whole bunch of tight to ridiculously tight Congressional races. I would guess that at least a handful do not get called by the media until all of the ballots are actually counted. Doesn't seem like you'd miss most of the fireworks if you first started checking in at 10 pm.
I have an 8 am class to teach on Wednesday morning, but I fully expect to be going on 2 hours of sleep or less. Will be canvassing during the middle of the day in NY 19 and then will have about 10-12 tabs open on my computer all night long following election results. Oh yeah, and a tab for the Penn game, too.

DC proper. Our biggest contest is whether to keep around pretty much the only council member willing to hold our mayor accountable.
That, and reelecting Karl Racine, who should be a shoe-in.

That's an easy one if you live in Philly. Election coverage on the big screen and Quakers on the laptop. If they wear the right road uniforms, we can root for the Blue Wave and cover all options!

Does anyone know how well ESPN+ works for time shifting?
Are all the games available for replay?
How long after the games end is the replay available?

I have found everything archived for weeks afterwards including relatively minor games like Penn men's and women's soccer or even field hockey (Don't ask - a former student plays for Brown and I was curious when they played the Quakers last week.). Replays are available just about immediately, but you don't even have to wait until the games are finished. Just go to the live stream (trying to avoid seeing the score) and scroll the stream bar back to the beginning.
