Bucknell should just cut to the chase and put in Kahliel Spears in the starting lineup from the get go. Then, when he needs a spell Bruce Moore could take over and the team wouldn't miss a beat on the floor. Doing this might swing a game or two over to the win column in our favor. Sestina and Kimbal are going to anchor this team with Sotos and Avi adding some flair but lets get the wow factor Spears in there. Bruce is a great player too and either will do well, But Bruce and Paul Newman will complement each other on the floor when Nate and Spears come out with no drop in level of play.

Spears starting over Moore?

At this point, Kahliel is nowhere close to Bruce in level of play. In fact, once the rotation is cut to ten or fewer, he is likely to not be seeing much playing time in close games. Once Meeks is healthy, he figures to be the backup PF the majority of the time.

Kahliel is very athletic and has potential, but he has a lot of developing to do. As far as the freshmen go, Andrew Funk and Walter Ellis, barring injury, will both see more playing time this year.

I agree with Bison137, hell I felt the same as Paulie in regards to Sestina his freshman yr. Didn't understand at first why Zach & Nana were in the games over Nate. I quickly understood he needed time to develop defensively at this level.

Definitely not Spears, but if Meeks wasn’t injured, I might start him over Moore.

At some point that may become an option, although John won't be playing until some time after exams. Another PF option at certain times is to play Newman at center and Nate at PF. That isn't realistic in the first half of games since I don't think ND would want to risk both of them getting in foul trouble, leaving the team with no center. However if both stay out of foul trouble, we could see them both on the court at the same time later in games, as we saw in the second half at Bona.

Having said that, despite having not been very productive at the offensive end, Bruce does play good defense.

Not Spears, but I wouldn't mind Robertson starting in Moore's place until he show he can produce.

I agree about Robertson he is so athletic and the team really could use that at the start of the game. I realize he doesn’t have a great shooting touch but he helped get that run going in the second half as he can get to the rim and finish. Spears is not ready at this point to contribute. The team really just needs to get healthy and they will be much better imo.

I like Robertson better off the bench for energy, unless the opposing team doesn't have a true PF. Ben will struggle guarding 6-8 guys, whereas Bruce does that well.
