I guess I didn’t jinx them, as A.J. has another 2-2 trip.

Dev with some great speed.
This has been a really good half (33 points, holding Rice to 19 points, and shooting an amazing 9 from 10 at the line)

Harvard loses at home to Northeastern, as GW transfer Jordan Roland goes for 35 off the bench for the Huskies, on 7-10 from 3 and 10-11 from the line.

Woods goes down and has to be helped off, though not as bad as Betley--he could put weight on it

Another injury for Tony. Knee. He limped off to the locker room but was in a lot of pain.

Woods is down under the Penn basket.
It looked like his left leg stuck on the floor as the rest of his body moved to the right.
He walked off without assistance, but he was favoring his left knee. He headed right to the locker room with the trainers.
Ugh!!!!

Each step is causing him pain. I don’t see him playing the next week or two. At least. Hope I’m wrong.

Some good play out there, especially from AJ, Silpe, Dev and Max. Team FT, 21-25, was great to see.
Thank goodness for team depth.
May need to rest Woods for the Lafayette game so he can be ready for Northern Iowa and the Paradise Jam.

Would have been a fun one if not for Woods injury. Hopefully not too serious.
Thought Goodman played extremely well. Great ball movement early — assists on 10 of first 11 buckets. Not sure how much these opponents have game planned for AJ, so it may get harder, but gosh it is fun to watch the way this team is coached and shares the ball. If AJ has to carry the burden, they seem to find ways to get him the ball.
Nice to see Silpe and Hamilton get to play through some mistakes and reward the faith.
Finally, I thought Bryce Washington played pretty well. To my eye, he is the strongest defender after Woods and Goodman among the guards, which is presumably why he got the start.
I assume he gives way to Silpe for the end game, and it was nice to get an extended look at that. We may not nail the FTs all the time, but having Goodman, Woods (hopefully) and Silpe out there together at the end of games should enable us to hold onto the ball and make good decisions.

Not very much run for Wang, but they didn't need his offense and he obviously will have to figure out the defense thing to play the minutes we'd like. Spotted a Chinese flag in the stands in the group of students, who showed up late but turned out pretty well. We even got an AJ Brodeur chant after the slam.
I can watch the way these guys pass all day. Going from what we came from to this is just night and day. I find myself saying "great pass" at least 5 times a game and usually more.

Despite the ice pack, Woods’ knee looked really stiff and he was hobbling - but that did not stop him from standing with the team for the Red & Blue after the game. I bet he has a date with an MRI tomorrow. Have to think he is doubtful for the Jam even if the MRI is clean.
PF-10 was right about Washington starting and he looked much better hitting open 3’s and good feet on D. His passing was better but still some work to do there. The matchups in this game really favored him over Wang. Tyler was better than the box score indicated. He drew 3 offensive fouls (only 1 called) and 2 of the calls against him were pretty lame.
Eddie Scott got a look but did not make his presence felt. Jarrod was there when they needed length on defense and his FT stroke is still sweet. In addition, Silpe and Goodman both had really good games. Max is lighter and quicker and seems just as strong. Another good sign. AJ was his usual self.
Rice was better than expected. They would be in the mix for a playoff spot if they played in the Ivy. In the end, they could not match our depth and the fouls started mounting. In fact, I think they matched our FGs and the entire wining margin came from the foul line. (!) A good night if Woods’ injury does not turn out to be serious.

Does anyone know what happened to the third referee? Most of the second was played with just 2, and one of them was putrid.

Yale is absolutely taking it to Cal in China. Going to win by double digits easily. Impressive. Announcers can't stop gushing over the pro potential of Oni.

They’re very young, so wouldn’t be surprised if they’re much better come the New Year—Pera gave half his available rotation minutes last night to 5 freshmen and a sophomore (Parrish).
