Hey intercepter, baby! You want me watch some video and/or listen to some audio? Well, there better be SOME good news attached to it; and here it is from just moments ago at Baker Field Complex:

We lose to FIU, 98-87. Steffanini has a career high of 33, but we can't defend anyone against anything, and will lose again to Fordham who beat FIU on Friday, tomorrow.
We will start the season 0-4. If we win more than 7 or 8 games, I would be very surprised.

It is all coaching. Engles is in over his head. Can’t coach defense. Train wreck.

Bagnoli took a program in receivership and has turned it around. Engles took a solid program and has wrecked it. Do we need to go through a whole season and lose a recruiting year or make a change now?

Chet:
The sooner you take your your convictions on this subject to Peter Pilling, the better! If you decide to draft a petition regarding what inevitably will and should be done, I'd certainly sign on to it, and I believe many others would, too.

The devastation continues apace.
We have now sunk to KP 263 and are the lowest ranked IL team.

A petition is not the answer. Write directly to Peter. Or email him. A good coach can teach defense when all else fails.

I assumed there would be a coaching change at the end of last season. Wrong assumption on my part. Under the circumstances I doubt there will be a coaching change until the end of this season and only if the Lions have a lousy year. I am not wishing that to happen. Don't you guys believe in miracles?

37P6, I only believe that those monks stuffed Chet in the Zappa da Pesci; but they may have mistook him for Jim Engles- still have one immediate chance to correct their misdeed later this afternoon!

Columbia37P6;
I do believe in miracles and saw my miracle yesterday at Baker Field with 58 seconds on the game clock.

Chet, Sixty-six & 37P6:
I know negativism is perfectly understandable following three games that CU could've (some would state, should've) had; but one thing I was looking forward to reading from at least one of you was some comment about Gabe Stefanini, and his spectacular performance last night versus Florida International- 33 points, on 12 of 17 shooting (71%,FGP.); plus 4 Rebounds, 4 Assists, 2 Steals; and just 3 Turnovers in 28 Minutes, largely spent on the ball. Of course, none of this would've gone down as such; but Smith was in early foul trouble, and Engles was constrained to limit him to "only" 30 minutes, while featuring more of Gabe.
