I'm guessing we will be a 1 or 2 point favorite.

I'm surprised that the lines have not posted for either the Penn game or the Mizzou-K State game.

Uhh... Penn's gonna open as an underdog here. Probably by a few points.

HA! Yeah, BPI is the only thing that makes my hype of Ivy teams look conservative. Maybe BPI is on to something, but that's not gonna be how it's priced.

I think we should just play the game. Saw ore st second half last night and they couldn’t hit any threes. Important game for the quakers to bounce back after a disappointing loss to an excellent K. State squad last night. While Penn played well in some areas, should give them a barometer of what it takes to get to the next level. I’ve got confidence in Steve D. that they can get there.

Yeah based on KP, we are 3 point dogs. It looks like Oregon State's defense is a few ranking spots ahead of us, but their offense is about 70 spots ahead of us. Based on that we'll need to keep the strong D up, but find a way to score better against another strong D.
We need to more out of our post players today, which will also open up more shots for our guys outside. Let's hope AJ especially comes back really hungry/strong because yesterday was probably one of his toughest games.
Will be a tough game, but let's hope we can end the tournament on a high note.

OK, so I'm wondering what others think about this. My daughter was reading this posting over my shoulder, and told me that, among her demographic cohort, starting a posting with 'uhh,' or 'umm,' or something like that is highly obnoxious. She said it implies condescension and disdain. She also used a couple of other words to describe it, which I won't share.
Does anybody else share this perception?

No question, Mike was saying, "Listen you stupid s.hithead, no way Penn is a favorite here." Uhhhh, stated that with deniability.

HA! For me, I use it in a Lee Corso, "not so fast my friends" sense, but tone doesn't carry well over the interwebs. Especially when reading/writing quickly.

I took it like mrjames meant it. I was clearly wrong and didn't mind being gently corrected.

Cruise over to the OTB if you want to see it used the other way. We're all condescension and contempt over there.

No thanks. I dipped my toe in that pond once. The vitriol nearly burned it off.
