Are there free Whoppers if the opponent scores 120?

Bruce came to play on both ends.
Northeastern is doing anything they want offensively.

Knew I should have bet this game for Northeastern, but felt bad doing if. Would have allowed me to hedge my feelings. Northeastern at -2.5 should have been too go to pass up. I think we all knew that it was unlikely Bucknell was going to take this game. Oh well...at least I won money on the Bonaventure game earlier.

From a sportsbook perspective, I think it was a pretty good line. Boston U. ended up beating this team, and they lost to Vermont. We beat Vermont, and were playing a Northeastern team with a few injuries. Do the math. I'm going to keep my eye out for a home game against a very good opponent, lets see what happens. Maybe we won't get off to such a bad start. "wink wink"

Not as close a game as the score would indicate. From the moment NE led 3-2, we were never in it. This team has not shown up ready to play. Maybe they are the best team we have played this season, and maybe they are not, but the are not as good as we made them look. We have a Jekyll and Hyde complex that needs to be fixed.
Coach’s need to step it up. You know what they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

A bit of Paulson-itis last night. If the other team has 56 pts at halftime and 71 pts with over 14 minutes left then in my mind you have an OBLIGATION to get tactical and switch defenses to try to change the tempo and make them reset. You can make the counter obligation that this was no different than the 2nd half performance against VT or FU going from 40 to 20. However, the start of the second half and the continued easy baskets shouldn’t have been ignored. I understand a system coach trying to work in real-time on those aspects he feels are required to win the PL but that’s why Sojka is there 27x7. I think you owe it to the everyone to try everything in your tool bag to win the game at hand. Being successful in OOC is critical in getting kids consistently. Hell, a terrible HC squad road a 1-3-1 to a PL tourney title. If nothing else my mental health would be at risk. Love the staff, love the kids, love our program’s passion but I didn’t get it under DP and don’t get it under ND. When you’re overmatched MTM than change the terms of engagement. Coaching is an awful challenge and playing Monday morning QB a disgraceful obsession but I do think this is a valid point of distinction/contention. After all said and done I’m on board with ND and the guys 100%. Easy to be a critic. Not easy to win basketball games when the other team has the same exact goals. X’s and O’s only get you so far...hopefully we come out with some takeaways

Last nights 18 point loss was almost Bucknell’s largest margin of defeat at Sojka. I believe the 19 point loss to Villanova is still the largest.
I agree with old bison that maybe some more adjustments were needed on defense. On ball screens, bucknell either double teamed the guy with the ball or aggressively hedged the whole game, which seemed to lead to a lot of scrambling on who was guarding who and lead to a lot of open shots.

I’ve seen this movie at Sojka! We miss layups and they bury 3 pointers at will. Ugh!
