There is probably something to be said for gutting out an ugly win on the road when you aren't playing well. So, on a night where Morgan needs overtime hit double figures, and Boeheim was 1-7 from the floor, I'll take a 63-58 win over the Leopards and move on. If not for Josh Warren (17p, 7r, 2A) this is almost certainly a loss. But it wasn't.
The Lafayette announcers kept praising the Cornell D, which was fine, but I was thinking "maybe the Leopards just aren't very good."

While the D was better than it was in some of the early home contest, Lafayette is just not that strong a team. With that stated, I think KenPom had them losing by one. Getting the "W" on a night when Morgan and Boeheim were not getting it done is a positive.
It was good to see Josh Warren have a big night. They will need more games like that from him as the season continues.
It was a scary moment when Morgan went down with a left leg injury early in the second half. He did make it back in, but was certainly not himself in the latter parts of the half and overtime. Hopefully, he will only need rest to get back to being himself.

He really looked to be in pain when he first went down.
