In response to Tod Howard Hawks

Tod: Engles apparently has the respect of the players, and has also, in his defense, turned around a NJIT team after 1-30 season. If there's a uptick the the last 2/3s of the season, the team's maturation should position us reasonably well for next year. If not, then we are going to have a real problem recruiting, and Pilling is going to be faced with the decision of whether he should start over.

Most of the above. I think the guards are too short and lack defensive quickness. I also think there has been an over-emphasis on offense in recruiting— quite a few Columbia players came in with a college ready offensive game but not ready to defend. Doesn’t mean they can’t get there, but last year Meisner was Columbia’s only fully developed two way player. Maybe a healthy Castlin.
