Internetter: I just hope I can be a man like you by my next lifetime- that is to say, one of few words, but capable of contributing so much. Thank you, and Merry Christmas.

They certainly are giving Yale a major boost for the home court advantage. But what about the lack of love for Princeton?
Merry Christmas, all.

Seems to confirm significance of HCA. Yale projected to finish 3rd in league play but favorite to win the auto-bid by winning tournament at home (as 3rd seed?).
This is going to be quite a tournament.

Wow--Lefko himself (not Fall Wall) responds in the thread.

Yes; ironically, the skills Bruce Lefkowitz brought to the game would be playing to a more favorable audience in the analytics age.

One commenter posited that Columbia would be the dark horse.
More like dead horse, if you ask me.

You're probably right; but stranger things have happened, and are continuing to happen, this very day.

Unfortunately the analytics are converging to the eye test for Princeton. But I think they'll get it turned around for the IL season.

I'll reserve judgment on Columbia for as long as I can get away with it- after all, they've been in every game played so far. But the dark horse most qualified to worry any of of the Big3 schools is undoubtedly Brown.

Brown is scary in that they want to try to outscore opponents, and they have the firepower to do so. If they could defend as well as they score, they'd really be dangerous.

While that has been the Brown recipe in recent years, this year the script is exactly the opposite. Top 50 defense paired with an anemic offense.

Agreed Brown is scary, but it is weird to me how much of a favorite this makes them. If I have to pick one, I take Brown, but I’d still take the field for the fourth slot.

Anybody watching Columbia over the last 5 or 6 games has to be tantalized by our ability to play up to the level of competition on the road. The Northwestern game will be interesting.

True. We are currently playing at about KP 165-170, a number that matches up pretty well with what Yale Analytics predict. Although Princeton will probably rebound a bit, that level suggests we could finish as high as 5th place in the IL.

Stef is very talented but has to be more consistent if the Lions are to get anywhere.

We are asking Stef to play the point when his natural position is SG.

And for a coach who may now insist on his playing the position 35+ minutes per event. Not so easy to demonstrate the consistency we as spectators are e looking for, when the player's out there for so many minutes; and at a position where he's literally involved in practically every play, all game long.

I respectfully recommend that we rally behind this group of guys and yes, this coaching staff. They are playing hard and have earned our support.

Don't think there's any significance to what we do herein, one way or the other; but, obviously, the boosters have had a word with you- haven't they?
