They're a dead horse to you, anyway. But with 16:26 left in the first half, CU's up 6-4, and, more noteworthy, Randy Brumant already has 4 rebounds- I like it!
Hey, I am well aware of the long history of very good Penn teams coming into Levien and playing as if they'd recently contracted sleeping sickness.
If I'd had the chance, I'd have watched today's game out of simple curiosity. I like to see our conference adversaries in non-conference games.

If we had Meisner and Smith we would be having a different conversation. I really like the way Tape has been stepping up. But we still need to win the three point battle and three points on the road are sometimes tough.

You don't take the chance and fall asleep when Steve Donahue's around; unless you're stuck in Toledo, Ohio and it's practically New Year's Day- in which case who could possibly blame you?

Used to be an institution. WGN stands for World's Greatest Newspaper (when it was owned by the Trib). Aired Cubs games for too many decades to count.
Make that 720 AM in Chicago

the committee looks at the ratings toward the end of the season. Now, they're so changeable to be useless; witness #1 recently)

You seem to be talking about media-voted rankings. PF10 is discussing statistical ratings.
There’s a difference.

Just cycling through old posts - this is a really ignorant view of ratings. The StDev on college games is about 8 pts. That’s about as good as any ratings system can do, and it means that 1) 5% of the time the actual result will be more than 16 points from the projected value and that 32% of the time it will be more than 8 points either way from the projected value.
These ratings are still useful for more than just discussion, though. They are incredibly well calibrated on average (ie- games where a team is predicted to win 70% of the time, those games over the long run have an average win pct of ~70%). When you know the average and the error, you have a pretty good model, and that’s what ratings are today. Now, maybe that’s also what you meant by “good for discussion,†but it’s important to note that these would be considered very strong, empirically-backed models.
