We have completed 14 games, nearly half of the season’s schedule. If you were asked, “how many games of the 14 has Bucknell trailed at some point by double digits,†and you replied “11†you would be correct. Something needs to change! Hopefully it starts vs CU.

To your point, Pomeroy lists the score by "quarters" in his box scores. This is what the combined quarters look like for Bucknell and its opponents:
. . . . . . BU - Oppt
1st Qtr . 161 - 232
2nd Qtr . 251 - 266
3rd Qtr . 277 - 209
4th Qtr . 286 - 261
1st Quarter: -71
2nd Quarter; -15
3rd Quarter: +68
4th Quarter: +27
Note: Pomeroy didn't have quarter scores for TCU. If that were included, it would change the second half dominance a bit.

One more note: W-L record in games we never trailed by double digits is 3-0. In games where we got behind by double digits it is 4-7.

One good thing is that in the background you can see Bruce Moore apparently running normally. You'll recall he had to leave the game late at Boston as his leg/hip seemed to get progressively worse after the hard fall he took earlier in the half. He had just had the best few minutes offensively that I ever saw from him. In about 2:15, he had three baskets on nice interior moves, plus 4-4 on FT's, two rebounds, and a block. If he can do that on a more regular basis, it would make the Bison offense a lot tougher - as Sestina can play outside and give Moore room to attack the basket from the baseline.

What happened to the official Bucknell preview? I checked bucknellbison.com, but nothing is posted.

If he could do that on a regular basis he could play in the NBA, there is a reason he is at Bucknell rather than Duke. That was five minutes of flat spectacular basketball.

I'd love to see EVERYBODY dunk on Dana Batt. I've come to dislike Colgate even more than Lehigh, which is saying something.

One optimistic adjustment to your statement: Bruce matriculated at Bucknell rather than Duke because of his skills as a teenager. I don’t have to reach too far into the past to highlight a few PL players who developed into legit NBAers.
Which is all to say that I love Bruce’s game and hope he continues to bring his all to every game.
Go Bison!

a lead throughout the first half will go far in this game. Combine that with home court the outcome should be in our favor. The starters haven't even hit their stride and look out when they do. I'd like to see Meeks get minutes.

Colgate is 1-1. Let's send them back to Hamilton 1-2.

i.e. enrolled. Meant only to emphasize the gulf that separates a student's start and end of their college days. And in Bruce's case, though he may not have begun his Bucknell days as a quote/unquote Duke-caliber player, he's improved leaps and bounds since then. I greatly enjoy watching him play this year.
If there's even a whiff of negativity in what I wrote, 'tis not intended and apologies all 'round.
Go Bison!

Sigh. 27-14 at home. I’m glad Davis focuses on defense and rebounding because I’d hate to see if they didn’t.
