Here are a few signs of the quad D's.

Playing starters more than usual.

Great play and intensity by Kimbal marred by a few blunders.
Great stretches of play by Sestina offset by quiet perimeter play.
Flashes of greatness by Moore and Newman then glaring inconsistencies.
Above average foul shooting by some and horrible foul shooting by others.
Offensive flow and penetration left in locker room at beginning of game.
Mediocre referees getting too involved in the game.
Back to back to back fouls.
This team will eventually have the quad D's run its course but the coaches and players need a reset. We'll be slightly over .500 if this continues.

Yes, the deficits have been a problem. In the five big come-from-behind wins (Bona, Vermont, URI, Army, and Colgate), the Bison collectively trailed by 76 points (an average deficit of more than 15 points in each game), before winning by a grand total of 17 points. And in the four close losses (Fairfield, Canisius, Ohio State, and Army), they collectively trailed by 50 points, at the worst, before rallying to lose by 20 points in total - with the margins being shaved near the end to as few as 11 points total (less than 3 points per game).

Here is a game-by-game look at the magnitude of the problem:

1 St. Bona . . . Trailed 52-39 (12:13 2nd half). Won 88-85
2 Fairfield . . . Trailed 36-21 (01:31 1st half). Lost 60-58; tied in final seconds.
3 Canisius . . . Trailed  59-39 (15:38 2nd half), Lost 82-73.
4 Vermont . . . Trailed 36-23 (18:07 2nd half). Won 69-61
5 Northeastern Trailed 74-49 (14:06 2nd half). Lost 96-78.
6 Monmouth . Trailed  19-14 (06:20 1st half). Won 65-43
7 La Salle . . . . Trailed  13-10 (09:42 1st half). Won 92-79
8 Ohio St. . . . Trailed  37-25 (03:30 1st half). Lost 73-71; had shot to win at end.
9 St. Mary's . . Trailed 85-56 (00:00 2nd half). Lost 85-56.
10 URI . . . . . . Trailed 38-27 (02:08 1st half). Won 84-82.
11 TCU . . . . . . Trailed 77-60 (3:32 2nd half) Lost 82-65; trailed by 3 pts at half.
12 UNLV . . . . . . Trailed Never. Won 97-72; led by 36 pts late.
13 Army . . . . . Trailed 39-13 (19:43 2nd half). Won 64-63.
14 Boston . . . . . Trailed  49-36 (17:17 2nd half).  Lost 87-80; trailed by 3 late.
15 Colgate . . . . . Trailed 27-14 (10:44 1st half). Won 84-81
