Almost at tip for the women's game against No ova. As noted earlier, this is certainly a game with bracketology implications for the 'Cats, and if our winning ways continue, for us as well. Should be a good one.

13-4 after 1. Playing good D so far; couple of beautiful interceptions in the passing lanes, and in general not allowing Nova to penetrate effectively or get many open 3's. However, the Cats are also really cold so far, and that won't last. We're having trouble getting open for 3's ourselves, although we are kicking butt on the o-boards. Gotta turn up the scoring, though.

23-14 at the media TO in the 2nd. Parker is absolutely terrorizing Nova in the paint; 4 or 5 blocks already. Sterba finally starting to get open and knocked a couple down, which is good, because Nova is starting to shoot better.

Did I mention Nova would start to shoot better? Lead is down to 25-24 at half. Nova shooting much better, and none of Penn's outside players are getting open, which in turn allows them to sag down on Parker inside; she's missed a bunch of bunnies lately because the defense has gotten a lot tighter. We're not going to hold them below 50 points here; gotta figu

Now 36-29 Nova with 6:08 in third. Very frustrating sequence where Nova had to run the clock down all the way, but either made the shot or got a rebound, whereas we are missing a ton of bunnies right now.

Much better at the end of the third. Forcing Nova to take shots farther out, and much better ball movement, getting some easier layups for Parker and another 3 for Sterba. 39-36 Penn at the end of the 3rd. Gotta keep it up for 10 more minutes!
