Brown faced the situation where after six straight games of having Cambridge play lights-out, he took most of the shots and couldn’t make them. Bad timing as it’s the start of the Ivy in a very winnable game at home, but you can bet the other Ivies are taking notes on how Yale keyed on him.
Yale did a great job - namely Phills - giving Dez limited room consistently. Still Cambridge did get some looks and just didn’t hit them like he had been. MM said in the postgame he had to find other ways to get Dez open. Maybe, but he did get looks.
Other than the outcome I thought it wasn’t all bad for Brown - it was great that they could keep it close with (what I think is) the top team in the league, even with their leading scorer 3 of 18. Defense played a role in that, as did being effective against Oni, as did holding their own on the boards, as did having three other guys get into double figures.
