That game was ours for the taking. Up 4 with four minutes to go. A missed dunk would have tied it with a minute to go. And A free throw would've tied it with 35 seconds to go.
In past years it would qualify as a moral victory. This year it's a downer.
Major props to freshman Taurus Samuels for keeping us in it with Barry and Knight on the bench. Aaryn Rai had a nice second half. We need a little something out of Will Emery.

You've got to have some optimism about the next home weekend - correct?

The game was close throughout, but I don't think Dartmouth was up 4 with 4 to play. Pretty sure Dartmouth's last lead was outside the final couple media TOs.
Taurus finally showing again after some earlier nice performances was great to see. Really think he'll be a strong player in this league moving forward.

That's right. Dartmouth's last lead was at 46-43 with 8:44 to play, and then it was tied at 51 with 6:01 left. But Dartmouth had several chances to tie or take the lead in the last two minutes.

Dartmouth was down 58-60 with 22 seconds left and Knight shooting 2 FT’s to tie it (after a missed dunk I believe) He made first and missed second.

This.
I think the team will exceed expectations this season. But I also believe that we are another year away from really competing for the upper-division positioning. If Samuels can continue to improve, I think we will be in solid shape next season.
Of course, if we finish fourth or higher this year, I'll be thrilled.

Really impressed with Dartmouth's shooting. Harvard focused on the stopping Dartmouth's 3 high volume shooters and then Samuel steps up to hit his first four and Rai is 2-2.
Fun battles between Knight and Lewis.
Good luck Big Green! Go forth and wreak havoc!

First of all, thanks for your input Friday on other matters- at times, it takes me time to process and appreciate things.
2 questions, HDG: How was Freedman yesterday;
and can Harvard possibly win two on Feb. 1 and 2?

It was really good to see Smith back on the court. Bolsters our backcourt.
