Myles Stephens has been named Ivy POPW for the third time in his career for his tremendous work against Columbia and Cornell on the road. The Tigers managed an improbable sweep to stay atop the Ivy standings. A force on offense and on the glass it was his work on defense that deserves particular notice. He took on the opponents' leading scorer with great skill. He held Matt Morgan to 13 in regulation, as huge a factor as any in getting the Tigers to OT. One imagines he'll draw Oni and Cambridge this weekend.

Myles and Bassey are co-IL POW. Both are incredible defenders and can be counted on when the going gets tough. Neither of them will probably earn IL first team based on the "stats" but try to win without them.

Myles started the season slowly and has been obviously fighting knee issues but he has come on strong. He can guard Morgan, Oni, Towns or just about anyone who is not 6'8" or bigger with bulk. Henderson claims that he has NBA defensive skills. He actually held Morgan to 9 points in regulation as others were guarding Morgan when he scored two baskets.

He was the best player at the Palestra during the inagural IvyMadness. He is not a perfect player, shooting and passing are not strengths, but I will take him any day of the week. Without Devin, he has stepped up another level. The Tigers are lucky to have him.

Yep, Stephens is terrific. Very enjoyable to watch him frustrate opposing scorers, vacuum up rebounds, and pick his spots to attack on offense. Must be daunting to see him in front of you.

Henderson radio show last evening made no mention regarding Devin. Coach stated that Llewellyn should be able to play in the near future without defining -- coach talk that Jaelin is a fast healer.

Morales and Barnes were on the show -- Barnes is starting to see more action -- he is young but talented. He may wind up with some of Much's limited minutes. Both Jose and Elijah are incredibly bright and impressive.

Mitch stated that Stephen's performance last weekend was one of the best that he has witnessed at Princeton considering all facets of the game.

Going to be a crazy tough weekend especially if Llewellyn is out.

Yeah, the Tigers have only been playing three bigs with Gladson out - Aririguzoh, DesRosiers, and Much. Against a big team like Yale, they'll probably need one more, and that should be Barnes. He's already been coming in for defense at some key moments, both at the end of the Penn game, and switching with Morales in offense/defense substitutions at the end of regulation at Cornell.
