Can anybody provide an update on where we stand on recruiting for 2019? The last report involved the commitment of Jack Forest, a 6’5” SG as I recall.

Looks like we just offered a late blooming 2019 SG, 6’7” Spencer Jones from Kansas.

Spencer Jones would be a very nice pick-up for Columbia Basketball. Columbia already has two promising incoming front court players, but desperately needs at least one or two more players to compensate for last year's historically small two-player recruiting class and the well-known attrition issues. Obviously, Columbia is doing a significantly better job of recruiting this year although the LIons have yet to successfully land a big name talent. Still, what is going on is encouraging . Finally, if the Lions get Jones or the other big man they seem to be recruiting from Kansa (Meeks) we might very well have a talented team next year.

Brown appears to have a stellar class, but I will wait to see them at the College level. Has any recruit ever been thought to be less than great?

Meeks was offered October 9th. Is it still likely he might accept Columbia's offer?

We have three PGs at the bottom of our roster who realistically have no chance to play for us. Does anybody know why they were recruited? Did we need practice players?

No idea for the individuals you mention, but often those guys are essentially AI boosters.
