Found the Lehigh article interesting and far more informative than the Bucknell cookie cutter article which is basically the same article every time. To wit: “With a win the Bison would increase their record to 17-8 overall and 11-2 in the PL.” Change the 17 and the 11 from the last article and away we go. Then we talk about the players we lost last year ( 25 games in? Really?) We really could be doing a lot better in this area.

Well here we are, biggest game of the year so far. We win this game we are essentially 3 games up on Lehigh with 5 to play. Lose this game and we're tied with Lehigh and in an absolute dog fight the rest of the day. Hopefully there is some effort by the school/athletic department to get the students at this game. No doubt home court advantage would be huge today.

We are fortunate that the league decided to have a Monday night game at home since the win % is so high for the home team on the Monday night games. But even as I say that, Colgate destroyed Lehigh at home last Monday night. I have to think in a rivalry game the quick turnaround is less of a factor...especially considering lehigh rolled against Navy, getting an easy win.

Hopefully we'll able to guard well against the 3. Still blows my mind that Lehigh leads the nation in 3 point percentage. There has to be a focus to contest all threes and make them uncomfortable.

Lehigh's defense continues to be an issue. I believe that they have the worst scoring defense in the league (or close to, could be wrong). Would love to take advantage of that. I'm sure this will be a high scoring, fast paced game, so hopefully everyone is up for the task.

Key: Keep Sestina out of foul trouble. If he can stay in the game, Bucknell wins. If he gets 2 early fouls, it is a toss up.

Yes! Being a televised game, I'd like to think we'll get a decent group of officials that'll let them play some!

Unfortunately the snowstorm may be arriving in Lewisburg right around game time. That is sure to keep down the attendance, especially considering how many people drive a considerable distance to get to Sojka.

Yeah, a Lehigh fan on the message board said he was planning to go, but is bailing.

An amusing Lehigh message board passage from jimk72:

"Would love to get this one. A number of the Orange people on their board have been berating our attendance (or lack of relative to their's), despite the fact that our seasonal attendance is just about mid range for the league. Also delighted in describing Dr. Reed "magic" after the Colgate blowout. In general I'd describe their posting fan base as plentiful, knowledgeable, loyal, engaged, and (excluding 137) downright snooty. I guess when you win the league that often you get to be that way."

I'll take the knowledgeable compliment. I probably fall under the snooty category as well, with some of my comments. But hey I want bucknell to become a premier mid major program. Sometimes that means expecting more than doing just enough to win.

The post on the Lehigh board about their attendance is beyond absurd in my opinion. To somehow justify consistent terrible fan support because they are mid range for the patriot league makes no sense at all. Lehigh has been the second most successful program in the league over the last decade And they had the leagues best all time player. Yet even in their best years their attendance was abysmal. Over the past 15 years, the worst attendance ever at Buchnell was better than the best regular season attendance at stabler, with the exception of a few Lafayette games where many of the fans were from LC.

Our student attendance is equally as bad...if not worse than Lehigh. The apathy is staggering

A pathetic offensive start. Sestina gets a foul 80 seconds in and he loses all aggresiveness. The amount of turnovers has been unacceptable. No flow in the offense. Just a brutal start. We look nervous.

The Bucknell offensive sets have been awful. I can’t think of a good possession that wasn’t in transition. Either Reed has designed a defense that Davis et al cannot figure out or we are just playing poorly.

Sestina is a foul machine. He hurts this team so much by getting into foul trouble. Stupid fouls.

Time for other players to step up.

I guess all things considered we can’t complain about being down 3 at half. Thank god kimbal is capable of taking over. Because without him looking for his shot the offense was completely stagnant.

I was just thinking the same thing about Kimbal. He is a streaky shooter. When he is on, he reminds me of Kevin Bettencourt.

We are getting pushed around on our home court. Nate Jones is trying. Meeks is a bright spot. Kimbal trying to prime the group but everyone is flat. Lehigh not playing particularly well. I hope Bucknell pours on the steam the second half and win going away, but you never know.
