Game's almost here. How are we feeling?

I am oddly optimistic. If ever there were a game where my harping on causing turnovers applied, this is it. The Crimson can be induced to cough up the ball at a high rate. A few fast-break buckets off steals would be nice, too. And defensive rebounding will be important, because Harvard has a lot of athletic guys who play big.

Can Princeton score against the stout Harvard D? Yes, but they will have to be physical and strong with the ball when going inside. Arirguzoh can't get into foul trouble, because he'll be needed to give the offense balance. I don't think this is going to be a game where lots of isolation play on the wings will be the way to go, either. Got to move the ball from side to side, break down the D, and pass to players moving to open spots to get good looks.

Do not have a clue as to tomorrow's game nor Saturday as well. IL is very unpredictable but this is a BIG weekend especially Friday night. Tie breakers may be really important this year -- just ask the Quakerites.

Who plays for Harvard -- big factor.

Cannady, Myles and Richmond need to really step it up. Watch Richmond go against the former #68 HS rated recruit, Lewis. Battle between two men not boys.

Both teams have had a Jekyll and Hyde issue this year and both really struggled last weekend. I’m picking the Tigers to get a boost from playing at home.

Feeling oddly confident throughout, even when PU was down for that long stretch in the middle of the game. Now up 4 with 7:58 left. Aririguzoh dominating inside, scores again.

Then Aiken hits a trey and is fouled by Morales, who is having a shaky game.

Aiken shredding us whenever he wants from 3. So is Kirkwood. Part of that is bad defense, but our own shooting star needs to step up. Cannady's 3pt slump can't come at a worse time.

Main problem is Harvard hitting threes while Princeton hits twos. At least Lewis fouled out. Probably need to work harder to deny Aiken the ball--make him catch it far out and double him early to force him to pass off, rinse and repeat.

Might help to hit a few FTs too.

Aiken is just on fire today -- nothing can stop him. And we don't have anyone to answer. Another bricked 3 from Cannady...not looking good.

Down 6 with 31 seconds left. Could happen, but obviously will need some luck.

Foul Bassey with 28.3 left--probably the right guy to hit. So of course he hits them both.

Would have helped not to get sloppy with about 8 mins to go, PU gave away too many baskets and possessions when Harvard was slumping. IMO, not a game they should have lost. ASU game seems a long time ago.

Harvard stupidly fouls Llewelyn. So of course he misses the first.

A combination of Princeton getting sloppy at the wrong time and Harvard (especially Aiken) seizing the moment.

All fell apart when Jose fouled leading to a 4 point play. All our momentum, especially on defense, dissipated on that play.

That was bad. Thank God for the Ivy Tourney.

I guess the advanced stats were right: we weren't as good as our record. In fact, no one is -- nail biters in all four Ivy games tonight! Oni and Aiken have singlehandedly won games for Yale and Harvard. Meanwhile, our star, one of the best 3pt shooters in the nation during non-conf, is going through a bizarre 3pt slump.

Sloppy, complacent first halves have been common to each of the past 3 losses. Focus has always been a problem under MH. If they can't hold serve tomorrow vs. Dartmouth, it's time to sound the panic alarm.

That was painful. As was an earlier play where Jose made a great steal...followed by an out of control TO right after.

I've been his biggest fan this year, but he's really been struggling of late. He just needs to take a breath and slow down. Too many out-of-control miscues at the worst times.

And Llewelyn looked better tonight, playing good D and with a better ratio of good/bad offensive plays. Much had a strong offensive game. Johns looked OK. So not all bad, but without outside shots going down it puts a lot of pressure on the D.

Ugh that was frustrating. Not much to do when Harvard made some crazy plays down the stretch, but it should never have gotten to that point if Princeton played better in the middle of the second half.

Morales was awful today, and more generally Princeton needs to ride its top six as much as possible IMO.

I was out of town and couldn’t get the ESPN Ap to work so listened to the last ten minutes on the radio over internet. Awful crash down the stretch (add me to the masses that are tired of Morales’ out-of-control play). I will never listen over radio again as long as Jerry Price is calling the game. The guy went on an on about everything but the game he was calling—the hockey team, what an upset it would be for Dartmouth to beat Clarkson, the women’s team and Bella’s scoring streak and how tough Penn’s women are and The Penn men’s struggle in the Ivies vs. the Big Five, etc. He started updating all of the other men’s Ivies and the Tiger women’s game presumably just reading off the ESPN ticker. He did all of that while live action was taking place in Jadwin. Really annoying.

When you go on a bad run, someone has to step up to stop the bleeding. The time is NOW!

Have to stop the bleeding tonight. Dartmouth has both good long-range shooters and a solid big. Tigers have to play a cleaner game.
