Last year, at the end of the tournament championship game, Harvard missed both of its three point attempts and lost without being able to send the game into overtime.
Tonight, at the end, Harvard made a three point attempt and won by being able to send the game into overtime.
I am not prepared to exchange those two outcomes.
And, while being disappointed not to have had Ryan Betley and Jelani Williams on the court tonight, I remember that Harvard ended last year's tournament championship game without Seth Towns or Bryce Aiken on the court.

Really Stu---we don't need a WHATTABOUT on this one.
This is the most painful loss I can remember as a Penn fan. We probably had a 95%+ chance of winning and had 3 chances for the rebound on the 2 missed shots before it got luckily knocked out to Aiken.
I'm not going to be able to talk about this for a while, but who cares about any other games.

Agreed. The only consolation for me is feeling fairly sure that even if we had won, the team does not appear to have what it takes to win the ILT anyway.
I'm already thinking about next year.

That’s a bold statement about a team that won the big 5 and lost 3 OT games in league play and a 4th in non conference. Losing those games are an indication that we don’t have a closer on our team but it also indicates we aren’t very far away from the best teams in the league.
I’m still optimistic but certainly worried. If we make it to the ILT we absolutely have the talent and versatility to win 2 games.

It’s just that our margin for error now is so very small. It does not appear we are good enough to overcome the odds. I hope you’re right and I’m wrong

We'll have a much better sense by the end of next weekend.
If we lose to Cornell on Saturday night---all over.
If, on the other hand, we beat Cornell and Columbia and Princeton also beats Cornell....we would be tied for the 4th spot with Cornell (and possibly Brown, if it also sweeps).
And then the fun discussion about tiebreakers would begin.

I was very angry last night and after starting a bad thread I wasn’t about to take on my friend Stu, but man, this may have been a worse thread than mine which was built on a false premise. Why in the world was this needed??

Funny, because when I was reading through the Dartmouth thread last night I was thinking back to another Dartmouth game long ago where missed FTs ultimately cost us an outright title.
