We have very little of it. Losing to either of the C's at home is simply not an option. Does anyone disagree that anything less than a sweep next weekend means season over?

no....although a loss to Columbia and a win over Cornell would still leave us with a route in. But a loss to Cornell and it's all over.

We have room for 1 non-Cornell loss. Even 2 non-Cornell losses, however, would be pushing our luck.

If we lose at home to Columbia, it's over. Do you seriously think we can lose that game and then beat Yale on the road?

No. It's gotta be a sweep or it's fork in the buns time.

Cornell should be the underdog in 5 of their remaining 6 games, as Vegas should have them favored to win only at home vs. Dartmouth. Of course, Cornell has been the Vegas favorite in only one of their first 8 Ivy contests (home vs. Columbia), with another being a pick 'em (at home vs. Brown), yet they managed to win 5 of those 8.

Conversely, we should be favored to win at least 4 of our final 6, with the home game vs. Yale being close to a toss up (assuming that we're still in the hunt). Of course, we were favored to win 7 of our first 8 Ivy games and we all know how much that did for us.

A sweep by the P's over the C's at home this weekend puts us right where we need to be (although Cornell still would control the tiebreaker thanks to its win at Harvard). Anything less, including a Cornell win at Princeton, would leave us needing a lot of luck to get in.

Of course, a Yale win at home vs. Harvard this weekend also could help our tiebreaker chances down the road, but only if everything else falls our way.

The Yale rematch will be at the Palestra. We're probably going to have to beat them at home before we get that third meeting, in New Haven, with them.

Bottom line: Penn sweeps at home next weekend and is better than even to make the playoff. I feel pretty good about it strangely.

I was talking about the third meeting actually. I only cut down the net for getting to Dance.

You say this as if Columbia is bad. They were an Aiken Hail Mary away from winning at Harvard and have lost 8 games by 3pts or less. We could absolutely lose to them and still beat Yale. Or the other way around. Every team has a chance in this league every night.

Could happen, but very unlikely.

On any given Ivy weekend....
