Friday night at Brown.

Bears have won 2 of 3, with the loss being in OT to Cornell.

Brandon Anderson returned for 11 minutes last Saturday. Desmond Cambridge's shooting woes have continued.

Important game for Crimson with contest at Yale the following night.

Kenpom has this as (just barely) a Quad 2 pickup chance for us.

Will be interesting how Brown does against a more fully up to speed Bryce. Kenpom has them at 52nd in overall defensive efficiency, and 12th-best in 3-point percentage defense. That didn't seem to matter the first time we played them, though. We shot 8 of 17 from three in that game (which, together with Browns' cold shooting that night, helped us pretty easily overcome a 24% TO rate).

If we can keep our TO rate at 20% or below, I'll feel pretty good about our chances. That's true almost every game, though.

The other big thing: we need to move the ball better this weekend. We only had 7 and 4 assists, respectively, in last weekend's games. We need to do a better job of generating easy looks for non-Bryce players. We can only count on him so much to bail us out with his heroics.

We're certainly capable of moving it better. We did in the first Yale game. We had 12 assists that night, did a better job getting out into transition/secondary break situations, and were just more decisive with the ball in general. Not sure what explains the offensive malaise since then.

Assists and turnovers are probably the two best indicators for how we're playing on any given night. The defense has been consistent (other than the second half vs Cornell).

Seth Towns warming up wearing the right kind of suit. No confirmation if he’ll start or play, but this is a first for 2018-19.

So far no word from reporters other than that he's warming up.

I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't just a test run for tomorrow night. Have to imagine it'd be hard for Towns to go back to back. And this is what we did with Aiken too—had him go through warm ups a game before we actually brought him back.

Terrible start. 6-3 at 1st TO. Welsh subbed for Lewis after a minute and a half. Going small and Choh blew by Kirkwood.

Quick hook for Lewis after he left Cambridge too early on a drive, and then got blocked by Cambdrige a possession later. Is it that they want Welsh's at least threat from three to stretch the defense more?

Bassey in locker room. Kirkwood bloodied when fouled on drive to basket. Catching getting some of the Bassey minutes. 23-19.

Bassey back on the bench. Didn't sound good at first, but might be okay.

Expect a lot of small lineups in 2nd half. Can’t keep winnng with this many turnovers. And we’re not even playing Holy Cross.

Disaster half. Aiken missed a few free throws, forced a few deep threes, Lewis was in foul trouble, Bassey knocked out, and Kirkwood had to sit awhile until they could get his cut to stop bleeding. Doubt we've had many minutes with Catchings and Haskett lineups before.

Kirkwood coming out in the second half on fire. He's just got to be careful with his handle. He lets the ball get too high and get knocked away too much.

We really missed Bassey's defense on Cambridge. Just had no answer for him otherwise. Bryce really struggled with Okolie's length all night. Was never able to get into his stepback three game, and kept trying deep threes as a result.

Kirkwood almost single-handedly kept us in it. Katchings gave us a couple of really good minutes, including what at the time was a big three. Did a good job hanging tough and cutting it to a single possession in the final minute, but just couldn't get that last stop we needed.

We'll have a hard time slowing Oni down if Bassey can't go tomorrow.

Lots of things went wrong last night. Foul trouble (Brown shot 31 FTs???), turnovers and the collapse at the end of the first half.

It would be great to bounce back tonight, but it looks more like we're going to need a split in the last four to claw into Ivy Madness.
