Strange ending to last weekend's game against Harvard; first they had an offensive failure, by only getting 7 points in the 4th quarter when they were holding the Crimson to 6. Then, they had a defensive failure: they got 20 points in the two overtimes (equivalent to another quarter), but gave up 28. Since they held Harvard to almost 20 points below their average in regulation, one hopes this was simply an case of running out of gas on the longest Ivy trip of the year. In general, the three-point shooting was not good this weekend, getting only 27% against Dartmouth and 10.5% against Harvard. That's going to have to improve come abomination time.
Speaking of that, with Dartmouth getting swept, the race for the spots is very likely over, although the seeding is very much up for grabs. Yale having clanged a bad one against Cornell over the weekend, the main rival for the first seed is once again the unmentionable team slightly to the north. It would behoove our heroines to beat the snot out of the C's this weekend so that the starters can rest up for Tuesday's invasion of the Palestra by the orange hordes.
