Before Saturday, he'd played 29 minutes and scored 12 points all year. On Saturday, he played 31 minutes and scored 16 points — including five in the final 1:05. Which is to say nothing of his block on Oni with around 20 seconds left.
Also: he only had one turnover in his 31 minutes of play.
A heck of a game for anyone, let alone someone getting his first real action all year. Our rotation just got one spot deeper...

Gotta love the way he plays with intensity. Seems like he has a chip on his shoulder.
Looks like he can be more effective than Baker on the offensive end%

My recollection is that the Cornell game momentum changed when a powerful driving layup by Catchings in the second have was called an offensive foul instead of an +1. Seemed like a bad call both in real time and on the replay screen.
Had no idea he could shoot 3's (2-3) and FT's (8-9). Of course it's a small sample size but they were clutch and important. Also, only 2 TO's in 60 minutes. With 64.3% shooting and 3 steals, very efficient. Although Catchings appears stronger tan Bassey, he doesn't rebound as effectively and won't bring the ball upcourt.
