Early but Colgate looks great we look awful. Some of our shots didn’t even hit the rim. Burns killing us. We have no offenseive answers.

Over. Amazing job of recruiting and coaching at Colgate. It is by NO means a basketball school and they’ve built a quality program.

We've come from behind before. Colgate is playing well but anything can happen. Bucknell lackluster so far but I hope they can come roaring back.

Agree, Paulie! But a lot of our comebacks were against teams we should not have been behind in the first place. Still I don’t think Kimbal and Nate will give up the ghost without a fight.

Colgate Game - PL Championship 03-13-19 08:33 PM - Post#281167

27% from 3 and 34% overall are losing numbers. Same numbers from their losing funk at end of season. Not even just that they are missing shots, many shots were simply ugly. Our half court offense rarely looks good. Seems other teams have better flow in the half court than Bucknell. Idk, can’t give up on them but that was a poor half of basketball.
As for Colgate’s program, they are early in a good stretch, no doubt. I think the transfer is huge for them. Without him they are a solid team, with him they are the best Colgate team since mid 90’s.

I think we’ve watched enough of this team to know when they’re on and when they’re not. They needed to be on from the start and we weren’t. Colgate is too good.

Waaay too early for this "Over" talk! I seem to remember some pretty significant second-half runs in the other two PL Tournament games.

Seems like every time we get a bit of momentum, Davis subs and it takes a few minutes for the players to reset (and we lose several points).

Nate still can’t resist the cheap foul. Great comeback and Kimbal deserves a free Whopper for life.

Crazy comeback and then with a chance to tie or go ahead, three consecutive turnovers. Still, we are back in this. Have to play solid defense and have a few others contribute offensively. That stretch of turnovers gave life back to Colgate and allowed them to get it together.

Down 50-48 and Bucknell’s ball. Three straight turnovers and and Colgate goes on 23-10 run. Mixed in were a few bad possessions, imo. Yeah Burns came back to make more shots but it surrounded some first half play by Bucknell.

Great run by Seniors, so much to be proud of. Just not enough on a night where Burns plays way over his head and his ‘mates also play well. Outside of the Mackenzie 14 point run to begin the second half, this has been a rout by Colgate.
