The good news for the women going into the big weekend is:
1.) Parker is peaking at the right time, dropping 55 points and 24 boards on the Y-B trip.
2.) Sterba had a decent game from the arc against Yale (3-9) and an awesome one against Brown (7-11).
3.) The defense against the 3 was excellent last week, with neither opponent making it to even 20%.

The bad news is:
1.) Russell is still not playing well, with only 9 points over the two games (although pulling down 15 boards.) Again, one wonders if the couple of dings she's suffered in recent weeks are slowing her down a bit; in particular, she has not been effective driving the lane lately.
2.) Besides Parker, Sterba, and Agahyere (23 points, 12 rebounds combined), no one else did a lot on offense last weekend.
3.) Harvard and Princeton both looked pretty comfortable, with Harvard absolutely lowering the boom on Cornell and Princeton cracking 80 in both games (although they shot poorly from 3, which we hope continues.)

Interestingly, despite blowing the Bears out, McLaughlin left the starters in for much of the Brown game. In particular, Michae Jones, who had been steadily picking up time from Grasela, didn't play that much against either team, although I wouldn't be surprised to see her in more against Harvard, whom she has been effective against this year. I'd like to see more man this weekend to guard against the 3, especially against the Tigers should we make the final; I hope the various nagging injuries have healed enough to permit that. We really need to get some other people besides Sterba going from 3 to keep the lane unclogged. It would also be nice to put the Crimson away early this time so as to get to bed quicker, as even under optimum conditions, they're looking at a 16-hour turnaround.

This may well be another inflection point in the history of the program, particularly since Princeton will probably be favored again next year, with us losing two starters and some of their freshmen looking pretty good this season. Recruits for the next couple of years will be watching this one; let's make it good!
