Good win and great to see both Brown and Harvard win tonight. NC State at their place will be tough but who knows where their head will be and be nice to give them a game.

Anyone notice that Georgetown, NC State is the same schedule that 1999 Princeton faced in the NIT?

A couple of things that stood out to me:

— Weisner really set the tone for us with his energy and effort on the glass. Really happy to see him get a moment like that.

— This was a pretty good example of why, even though he drives Amaker crazy with his mental mistakes, we need Baker to turn into a reliable contributor. His length, athleticism, and shooting for his size can all be big difference-makers for us. We certainly could have used them against Yale. Hope we see a lot more of him on Sunday.

— Kirkwood is growing up before our eyes. His decision-making has improved by leaps and bounds since the start of the year. He's no longer forcing drives that aren't there, which was the primary way he got himself into trouble back then. He only had two turnovers last night despite taking on a big chunk of the ball-handling duties (Gtown's denial on Aiken was so aggressive that we had to have someone else initiate the offense).

— And the biggest point of all: we looked pretty good with Kirkwood as the point guard. He still needs to work on his handle — he dribbles too high at times — but he's more of a natural passer than Bryce is. The play of the night for me was probably his touch pass to Welsh in the first half. Gorgeous stuff. The problem with playing Bryce off the ball is that we'd usually be at a defensive disadvantage with two smaller guys on the court, but Kirkwood at the point would solve that issue. Might be something to think about for next year...
