That’s Episcopal High School in Alexandria VA. Strong athletic program and good basketball program as well. Shannon looks like a late bloomer who only has two years of AAU ball.

Hoopsfan has forwarded this and asked to have it posted:

DMV Elite Sept. 2018
ASA SHANNON, EPISCOPAL (VA) WING
Shannon was relatively under the radar until a big spring and summer with New World that earned him a D1 scholarship offer from Radford. If Saturday was any indication, though, a whole lot more schools are going to know his name.
Shannon turned heads all day long at Hayfield, leading his Team Black squad to an perfect 3-0 record while averaging team highs in points (8.3) and rebounds (5.0) per game. He went 11-of-15 from the field and also had 5 blocks.
“I’m just looking forward to these fall workouts and getting coaches to see me up close and personal,†he said, “and when they see me in the season, maybe offer me. We’ll see how it goes.â€
At 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds, Shannon has a good frame an impressive athleticism, which he displayed with a huge dunk early in the game action.
“[My strength is] Probably my athleticism,†he said. “I can jump high, but my second jump is a lot [higher]. I can put up a shot and miss it and get right back to it.â€
Shannon is no slouch in the classroom, either, and has Ivy League schools showing interest. If he continues his progression into the high school season, he’ll find himself with plenty of options.
“If you win, you get looks - that’s what my coaches tell me,†he said. “We’ve got a good team - we lost our senior in Zach [Pfaffenberger] but we’ve got somebody to replace him. We’ve got X[avier Johnson], Darius [Johnson], Tymu [Chenery]. We’ve got a good team and we’re looking forward to winning.â€

PS, any other recruiting news? I am only aware of three—Shannon, Forest and Turner—all of whom look like good ones—but I was hoping for a front court player in the class.

Chet, I think you forgot about Emmanuel Onuama, the 6'9" C/F from West Palm Beach,Florida.
He's a development project, but he might be a good one.

Verbal Commits says that 6'7"Solomon Davis, who apparently had previously committed to Columbia, changed his mind, and as of 3/31/19, Verbal Commits says he has committed to another school.
I googled Solomon, and on a recent tweet, Solomon said he had committed to Westmont University, a school I have never heard of. Furthermore, Solomon, again according to Verbal Commits, had also been offered by Penn.
Strange.
