I'm a longtime reader of this board going back to our usenet days, albeit I seldom post.
However, a fellow Quaker forwarded this on to me, and I thought I do the same with this audience:

Recently, Fran Dunphy was given an honorary doctorate from Temple.
Maybe Penn could consider the same to honor a lifetime of teaching and service here in Philadelphia?

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScn- eGWXZ...

When I submitted, I made note not only of his superlative collegiate coaching career, but also how he used his basketball career as a vehicle for education and social impact:

-many years of service and advocacy for Cancer Research via Coaches vs Cancer
-member of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Philadelphia Board of Directors
-teaching at the Wharton Executive Education Program and Wharton Department of Management
-teaching at the Fox School of Business at Temple University

if you might agree, I'd encourage you to do the same!
