Interesting article.

Ivy League coaching endowments raise ethics questions

I do know the MBB position at our Dartmouth isn't endowed. I can't decide if it's a good thing or a bad thing. It's not as though other Big Green programs aren't endowed.

This isn't terribly different from the usual mega-donations that have been going on forever. So long as money goes to the school and not into someone's pocket, there isn't any impropriety.

Had the Harvard father just endowed the fencing coach position, nobody would have cared.
