McCollum had 37 points in their game 7 win over Denver. Blazers move on to face Golden State in the WCF.

Hard to believe he’s never been an all start.

Charles Lee is also in the conference finals, as an assistant for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Interesting comment from CJ about getting drafted out of Lehigh.

I interpret "I got it out the mud" to be a metaphor for hard work. I don't think he was calling Lehigh a pigsty (though the colors are a good fit for that).

Yes, he had an amazing game. He is so well spoken and genuine. I think his “mud†comment simply meant that he had come from a place nobody has come from before, that he had to work hard and prove himself maybe more than players from basketball factories do.

Coach Lee (and Coach Bud) have done a great job with the Bucks. Would love to see a Portland-Milwaukee final. I'll be rooting for the Bucks regardless.

It agree that it would be good to see the Trailblazers and Bucks in the Finals. I would like to see McCollum put up some big numbers in a losing effort. If the Bucks win it all in 7 so that Lee can get a ring, it would be exciting and satisfying.
BTW, are there any Bucknell alums in the last 25 years or so who have coached or been in the head office of an NBA Championship team?

Just read an article in The Athletic from a Blazers writer regarding low cost players they will have interest in. The top player mentioned is Mike Muscala. Would be cool to see him play with CJ.
1. Mike Muscala
Muscala is the type of player Olshey loves. He can shoot (career 36.5 percent 3-point shooter), he’s a good passer, and he is a better-than-you-think defender. Although he is not the quickest or strongest, he has mastered being vertical while defending, much like Zach Collins.
But make no mistake, Muscala’s primary attraction for the Blazers would be his shooting. His best season was in 2016-2017 with Atlanta, when he made 41.8 percent from 3, which was the fourth-best percentage for a forward in the NBA behind Otto Porter, Joe Ingles and Jason Smith.
He was having a decent season last year with Philadelphia, averaging 7.4 points in 22 minutes a game while shooting 34.2 percent from 3, before being traded to the Lakers. He played only 17 games with the Lakers, and his two best games were at the end of the season — scoring 16 points against Utah and then 16 points against the Blazers. He hit 8-of-13 from 3 in those two games.

McCollum just got a three year $100 million extension. How about that.

It's great to see CJ succeeding in the NBA. Takes a little sting out of the damage he did to the Bison for 3 seasons.
