If that's the case, we'd AGAIN be playing the two Princeton games as our first Ivy games AND at a point in the season where the players may not have "jelled" yet as a team. Accordingly, I hope that you are wrong and we play Princeton later in January on a weeknight.

Again, we've essentially given up our home court advantage by playing them when we have no students on campus. That really has to be stopped after this year. Why play your "rival" game with no students. Further, enabling students to attend that game might increase student interest in the basketball team.

Well nice to have 3 Big 5 games at home, but yikes that is a really brutal hone schedule otherwise. Widener is the only non-league game at home, lol...

That said, I do like the away/tournament schedule and great the team is coming out to Los Angeles.

couldn't agree more, hopefully this is something we had to do to get Bama and Providence to come here next year

Only bright side is I figured I could be away the entire month (almost) of Feb and only miss two homes games. There is a lot to be said to be in a warm locale and catch the games on ESPN from under a palm tree with the games occurring earlier local time.

We're playing Providence as part of the Wooden Legacy Tournament so I don't think this is intended as a two game series.

As for Alabama, not sure if that is a check game or is intended as a home and home series. More info needed.

on page 2 of this thread, pf10 calls the alabama a pay game (which I assume is the same as a guarantee game)

Question- when is 11 equal to 14? Answer- last year there were 14 home games and this year 11. I just got a call from the ticket office and the cost of season tickets is the same.

We should get a cut of the money Penn is getting from the money games. I renewed, but we are being taken advantage of.

So is it possible we are playing only a Wooden game on 12/1, the Widener game on 12/21 and at Howard on 12/30 for the entire month of December?

Looking back at the last 5 years, the team has played either 5 or 6 games in December.

If that continues, they should have two or three additional road games.

I would guess that Villanova is one of those games.

It looks like the Penn-Princeton game on Saturday 1/4/20 will be part of a doubleheader as Penn State is also playing Iowa at the Palestra on that day.

That usually is separate admissions with one game in the afternoon & the other at night. although I haven't looked at the schedules for that.

I have no inside information, but those will almost certainly be separate admissions.

I agree with Stu that this is almost certainly two separate admissions.

Why is Penn State playing Iowa at the palestra?

Chambers is a Philly guy & Philly is a major recruiting area for Penn State hoops. Gets good local exposure; draws well since it is a one off & probably makes some $$.
