The first game is Thanksgiving night at 8:30 pm on ESPNU with the 2d game Friday at either 9:00 or 11:30, depending on the opening game result.

OK, so who is coming out to CA for Thanksgiving?

I'm going to have to work some magic with my wife to try to get to that first game on Thanksgiving that is literally at dinner time, but definitely would be at second game for sure either way.

Would be great to meet up with any Penn fans coming out in person!

Excellent! Would love to meet in person, so do let me know. If more folks are coming perhaps we can organize a group meet up.

Below is our presumed schedule so far (non confirmed dates in {}). We still have to add Villanova and St Joseph and presumably another 6 non conference games most of which will be in December. I am guessing we will play St Joes in January.

Penn
11/5 at Alabama
11/13 vs La Salle
11/23 at Providence (non-bracketed game Wooden Legacy)
11/28 vs UCF (Wooden Legacy)
11/29 vs Arizona/Pepperdine (Wooden Legacy)
12/1 vs Charleston, Long Beach, Wake Forest, or Providence (Wooden Legacy)

1/4 {Princeton}
1/11 {Princeton}
1/25 vs Temple
1/31 vs Harvard
2/1 vs Dartmouth
2/07 {@Columbia}
2/08 {@Cornell}
2/14 vs Brown
2/15 vs Yale
2/21 @Dartmouth
2/22 @Harvard
2/28 @ Yale
2/29 @ Brown
3/6 {vs Cornell}
3/7 {vs Columbia}

Just curious. Why do you think that both Princeton games will be our first two Ivy games again and so early in the season? I'm not sure that either coach was thrilled with that scheduling last year as there are no students around. Hard for me to believe that the IL is going to force us to play BOTH of our games with our biggest rival during vacation with few students and as our first two games.

After last winter's disasters, I am going on record to state just how much I hate playing Princeton on successive weekends so early in the season. In a just world, playing one game early in the season and one toward the end would be fairer.

The Princeton women released their schedule today - Princeton at Penn is Sat, 11 Jan and the Penn at Princeton game is Tues, 25 Feb. The men did not follow the same pattern last year, so nothing should be inferred by the women’s schedule.

I have no idea, I just put them there as a placeholder since that was the schedule last year. I think the coaches equally disliked having to play 5 Ivy games over the course of 8 days so i am not sure what the answer is.

Nothing is likely to change until Princeton ends the post-vacation finals. After that, the Ivy schedule can start a week earlier so that there is a week gap before the playoff and P-P can revert to having a Tuesday game.

But somehow the (Princeton) women can do it. Are the men pussies (self-evident).

Penn at Lafayette November 19th. Besides Ivy and Big 5 games who is Penn playing at the Palestra? There are already three road games that are not Ivy or City games.

Updated: Penn likely can go to Rice because of the Alabama pay game. Still need St Joes and Nova. With the below and STJ/Nova they probably only have room for 4 others. Hopefully home games. Many more games before Thanksgiving than I can ever remember.

11/9 @Rice
11/13 vs La Salle
11/19 @ Lafayette
11/23 at Providence (non-bracketed game Wooden Legacy)
11/28 vs UCF (Wooden Legacy)
11/29 vs Arizona/Pepperdine (Wooden Legacy)
12/1 vs Charleston, Long Beach, Wake Forest, or Providence (Wooden Legacy)

1/4 {Princeton}
1/11 {Princeton}
1/25 vs Temple
1/31 vs Harvard
2/1 vs Dartmouth
2/07 {@Columbia}
2/08 {@Cornell}
2/14 vs Brown
2/15 vs Yale
2/21 @Dartmouth
2/22 @Harvard
2/28 @ Yale
2/29 @ Brown
3/6 {vs Cornell}
3/7 {vs Columbia}

03/07/20 at Columbia TBA

The opening game is on Homecoming, the same day as the football team's game against Cornell. The basketball game is listed as a 12:00 pm start and the football game is 1:30 pm. Perhaps, they would move the start time to allow fans to catch both games, like they did a few years ago when they played a men's game against Robert Morris after the football game.

The games against Cornell and Columbia were double-headers with the men last year. The 7:00 pm start for the home games this year make me think they are not doing the double-header.
