No announcement yet about the incoming class.I don't know whether the delay means anything, and maybe it will come later this week, but still it should be noted that last year, the announcement was two weeks earlier.

Probably doesn't mean anything at all. Only a few Columbia teams have announced their incoming classes.

I have heard great things from people who saw Asa Shannon of Episcopal High School play last year. Apparently he is a classic late bloomer who has good length and is highly athletic.

Good to hear about Shannon.

The delays appear systemic. For one, most of the Ivies seem to be announcing football and basketball much later than in prior years. In the past, we've announced our football classes anywhere from mid-April to mid-May, and we still haven't announced it and we're in mid-June. Cornell has just announced its football class last Friday etc. The only two teams we've announced are women's field hockey and women's golf. Whether the delays have something to do with the college admissions scandal or with some Title IX issue or something else, it is, as I've suggested, systemic.

I am frankly puzzled by the failure of the coaching staff to release the list. And I am concerned that are not getting any news on ‘21 recruits. If we can announce football, why not basketball?

FWIW, I looked up the announcement dates of both the men and women since 2010.

Year Men, Women
2018 6/20, 7/17
2017 6/13, none
2016 6/13, none
2015 6/4, 5/4
2014 6/23, 4/17
2013 6/19, 7/18
2012 8/2, 8/1
2011 6/16, 6/17
2010 7/2, 6/17

Unusual for the men to be this late, but not without precedent. Lo, Mullins and Cohen were in the 2012 group, so maybe good (great) things come to those who wait.

The women's team announced its new players today/tonight. Maybe the men's team will be announced in the very near future.

The women look like they did not have a very good recruiting class. Only three recruits and I don’t see anybody in that group as a potential early contributor.
