Apologies if this has already been posted:

He's so articulate and level headed it makes me feel woefully inadequate. I find it hard to get a feel for how ready he is to make an impact at the D1 level, but I look forward to seeing what he's able to contribute next year.

Seems like a really nice kid. Really hope he grows his sideburns just a bit longer to achieve 70s-era lambchops.

Show him a photo of Tony Price circa 1979 and tell him that's the standard to which he should aspire.

There is a lot to like from this interview. If his committment to Kobe B type work ethic and competitiveness is real, he will be a difference maker. If he really gets in the gym 3x a day during HS to separate himself from his competition, then he will do very well in the IL. I don't like his concern with the press his more famous (Nova commit) teammate received.

Looks like an overall good get for Penn and I'll be excited to watch him

i understand what you are saying but I didn't have that reaction when I listened to the interview. I think he presented himself as someone who made his teammates better and that his contributions were often overlooked because most attention was focused on a teammate who was the Pennsylvania POY and a prized Villanova recruit. I think he clearly recognized Eric's talents but felt sometimes the public conversation was a little Ericcentric and failed to recognize the others that helped make both Eric and the team successful.

All in all I'd say this sounds like the type of hard working kid who may have a high ceiling and will put in the work necessary to succeed at the D1 level. So we'll have to see what actually develops when he gets on campus, but a 6'6 guard with a good handle who is so focused on doing the work to get better makes me happy he'll be playing for Penn.
