The good news is that they received a donation to renovate the Class of 23 Rink. There is no reason why with a first class arena, Penn should not have varsity hockey

Might Hockey Actually Return to Penn? 07-11-19 09:09 AM - Post#285748

Wow, this made my day and thanks to Jon for posting it. This subject is near and dear to my heart. I have, for the last 40 years, explained to all the phone solicitors from the Penn Fund by saying I won’t give a nickel until they reinstate D-1 hockey. (I do give to the hoops program though.) I will get on this bandwagon post haste and do everything I can to send Grace a message that she needs to get behind this movement and mobilize her fund-raising machine I just hope I live long enough to see D-1 hockey again. In the meantime, bring on the rink renovations and many thanks to the Snider/Flyers foundation for supporting the Flyers old practice rink.

Thanks for the post. I'm not on the insider mailing list so It is hard for me to know how much traction the fund raising has gained in the last year. The team is coming off of a very successful season. They are very good.
