Priore has proven he can win with good players, even if they've were Bagnoli's recruits. Two Ivy titles in 4 years. So the question is whether he is a bad recruiter or whether he is hamstrung by admissions.
Bad teams look like Penn did Saturday on their bad days; they get blown way out. They lose convincingly on their normal days. On their good days they are 'just a few plays short". The result is still 1-6 or 0-7. Unless Columbia is suddenly elite, that is the result we should expect.
Last year the program was uncompetitive against the good teams. This year they are simply a bottom dweller.
As to removing the coach. He won only with Bagnoli's players. And - good coaches do not preside over the kind of blowout we saw Saturday. He will need a significant turnaround to keep his job.
Saturday's game reminds me of the bad old days in the Sixties. I can remember some very bad blowout losses against Princeton.

How in the world did they lose to Delaware by only 28-27?

Delaware is a .500 team--just got destroyed by Elon. Nothing like in their heyday with Flacco when they went to the 1-AA finals.

Delaware almost won at Pitt. Pitt is now 5-2, losing by one score at Penn State.

Ya think Pitt might not have taken that game too seriously?

Columbia has never scored 40 points or more against Pennsylvania. The two began playing in 1878.
