I attended today. Scweiger and Barnes were dressed but did not practice. Much and Avila were not there at all. No
Roster posted yet for this year. Anybody have information?

Sebastian Much has decided not to play basketball this year. Don't know about Avila. Schweiger and Barnes have minor injuries. No big deal.

Any thoughts based on watching the open practice especially as to how Jaelin looked.

It does not surprise as to Much. His playing time diminished based on the quality of his play as well as Arirguzoh's ascendency. He reminded me of a taller version of another California, Lincoln Gunn, who played one year for Scott. Wish him the best.

Much is another example of a pretty highly rated HS player who may have reached his potential in H.S, vs college. Ratings are nothing but ratings vs. reality.

I wish him well. I thought he always hustled.

I assume he is still in school, and not off to "make pots"?

I thought Jaelin looked healthy and fast.
I think Much may be missed. he could have provided depth and some outside shooting.
A couple of the freshmen seemed athletic, but not sure how
Much time they will see.

A bit more subtle than Bill Walton's call when Sebastian hit those 3s against Arizona State: "Sebastian Much for the 3!! Too Much!!" He won't be able to use that one when he comes to Jadwin on Nov. 26 to call the return game.

Much’s biggest problem was on D, especially when posted up. He lost some accuracy on his outside shot, too, and that really affected his overall game. But I liked his hustle and passing and when he got the chance to make moves heading to the basket he pressured the defense. Hope the rest of his time at Princeton goes well.

Much was a "tweener" defensively as he could not handle bigs by the rim but he also could not close out and defend the 3 -- he was always a little late and it always seem that the offensive player hit the 3 pt shot attempt.

His ideal position would have been PF with Arirguzoh at C but DesRosiers deveolped as a much better rebounder and defender. He could pass the ball but his shooting went from bad to worse.

Always viewed Sebastian as a weak link but it was mitigated by 2 star Arirguzoh stepping up last year. Frontcourt will be Richmond, Jerome and Schwieger with someone else off the bench. Starting 3 will be good but depth may well be an issue especially if there is an injury with the starters. Gladson, if healthy, will back up Richmond.

It would be sweet for Gladson to have a healthy, productive season. You just know that Arirguzoh is going to run into foul trouble sometimes, and even his motor can’t go 100% for 40 minutes.

I agree Gladson could help, but he and Richmond can't play together. Without Much, we have no one with experience in the rotation to back up DesRosier. Rebounding has not been a strength, and the seniors helped a lot from the guard
Positions. We may have guys who can step in, but not sure who they are.
