Josh is at 85 subscribers. I know we're but a small part of that and that Josh has the other subs from all the work he's done at other schools, but still, glad we're doing our part. I want to see triple digits before the first game.

I forgot to say, you got your wish! Already at 116, getting a few more every day. Super-thankful for you guys, because this board has been a huge reason why. Have several freelance stories in the works already.

way to go. it was all you. we subscribed because we knew what you were able to do previously.

Can you write a story on Penn with each paragraph starting with a letter such that they end up with "Tigers Suck"?

While such an acrostic would be nice, in the meantime "Duquesne 94-Princeton 67" says it just fine. Oh, and the Tigers led by 5 at the half...

I prefer the classic, Princeton sucks. But that's just me.

Let's not let one good out of conference win go to our heads. Remember what happened on successive weekends last January.

We beat Nova again this year, then we can talk.

We are deeper this year than last. And have much more offensive firepower.

We will not go 27-0, however. One game at a time.

Yeah... definitely one game at a time. A great start, but its only that... a start. We had a great out of conference performance last year and a decidedly mediocre performance in league, so A LOT of work left.

Also hoping some of the injured guys will get back healthy enough to contribute soon.

Any confirmation yet on Jonah Charles timeline? Shame as we could use that one more sniper because shooting from 3 was still less than ideal.

I know. I know. But it's so hard not to hope for a truly special, top of the cycle, season.

First off, tigers suck is evergreen. doesn't matter how we're doing.

second, that's so funny, I saw the halftime score and didn't give it any mind since then - I assumed they won. Finding out they lost by 27 points is like finding money in my jacket

Finally, while Princeton sucks is more appropriate, this is 2019. I can't read a story with that many paragraphs, I'll lose interest. Long form journalism is dead.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have some fun with that one last night. I actually watched the end of the first half and figured Princeton would keep it close throughout. Tuning in at the end to hear the announcers raving about the most points scored was quite fun. a 57-point half? Ouch.

Not as long as I draw breath and can still read. I can't do Twitter-level brevity. I need detail.

If he hasn't discovered threadreaderapp, he should check it out. Makes reading a collection of Twitter posts much less aggravating.

At the end of last season we somehow got acceptable shooting from overall, even though I never felt comfortable with the likes of Woods, Silpe, Donahue and Goodman taking threes. Our only pure shooters had injuries during the season (Wang and Betley). Washington was the only one I really wanted to shoot threes, even though his shot looked a bit flat.

This year, Eddie Scott looks much more comfortable shooting this year, and so does Goodman. I think Wang and Washington were already good shooters. Betley looks like he'll be good. Dingle looks good taking a spot-up three. I suspect I'll feel comfortable with Martz and Charles shooting. It will be much easier to put the ball in the hoop!
