Has us 6th, ahead of Dartmouth and Cornell. Even without Stefanini I would have had us as no worse than 5th, ahead of Brown. I actually see us as better than that and with a dominant Patrick Tape making our way into the tournament.

But we are 4th in Torvik's projections at 123, behind Harvard, Penn, and Princeton.

But are they aware of Stefanini's injury?

I don't know who is and who isn't aware of Stefanini's injury. That remains unclear, as does their assumption about whether, for example, Towns will be healthy enough to play for Harvard.

It's all a moment in time snapshot, to be taken with a grain of salt.

Let the season begin....

Anybody know why Much isn’t playing for Princeton? He was probably the second most highly touted IL player in that first year class three years ago (right behind our Michigan man).

You'd have to ask on the Princeton board, but it appears that his PT was going to be much reduced after having been surpassed at center by Aririguzoh.

No poll info here, just a Spectator article on last week's Basketball Mania event for both teams.

Broadly speaking the Spectator article suggests that at least two of the freshman front court players were involved significantly in the Basketball Mania event. I read that optimistically to mean that they could help us immediately. Of course, it would be nice if someone connected to the Columbia Basketball Team gave the fan base some information now about how each of the players on the roster was doing. How difficult can that be?

I also saw that Mike Smith was unhappy that the crowd did not stay longer. If we start winning a few early games the crowd will be there. I saw that we had a closed door scrimmage with Manhattan College. Any intel? Specifically, is Smith 100%? How did the rest of the team look? As far as the first years, I know somebody who saw Asa Shannon play for Episcopal in Alexandria last year—classic great athlete and late bloomer with huge upside.
