Thanks for the Heads up!
Format has changed, although you can still buy all session tix.
Fri: Women's Semis
Sat: Men's Semis
Sun: Finals
You can order tix for just your team. If your team doesn't qualify for tournament, no charge/purchase. If you team makes Finals on Sunday, you are automatically charged and issued those tix.
Seems to suggest that there might be separate tickets, at least for Men's Saturday Semi's.
This makes sense. I'm assuming (guessing) that Lavietes will be emptied and the second game's fans admitted separately. Allows for capacity to be doubled, actually more when the women's contests are factor in.

It's $75 for a one-team ticket for the semis, which I bought for Penn. It is refundable if your team does not get in. While it does not state how much it is, it says you will be billed for the finals if your team gets to the finals. Surprise!!! $500 for the Finals!
Just kidding, but it doesn't say what the price is for the finals.

My receipt shows $55 for semifinal game (bleacher tix)

Yes, as an old man who struggles by on a Penn/Columbia income, I still found a jar full of pennies to reach for those seatbacks.

Great!
Just know that at Lavietes the seatbacks are the few rows in the back. Some prefer them though.
Apparently the Harvard allocation is sold out. Looks like all 8 schools get an allocation that is held until ... who knows when!

I know. They actually are about the same place as my seatbacks at the Palestra, which is the last row of the seatbacks. Too close to the court and you miss things in the corners and people stand in front of you. But none of these buildings, especially at Harvard, is exactly far from the action.

I thought you might know, but just in case. Yes, some of my fellow fans prefer the seatbacks as they're still only around 20 rows back. When they reconfigured Lavietes they expanded the leg room for the bleachers so I put up with it for the two hours or so.
I wonder if by remaining silent on finals tix prices if they are the same as for the semi's? They weren't the past two years though.
Considering that allotments are being reserved for all eight schools, I guess that at some point those tix will go on sale. Note that there aren't any seat assignments yet. Harvard tkt office told me that seats will be assigned in order of purchase. No idea what seats go first though (are considered desirable).

Of course, selling them like this finally gives up on the fraudulent pretense that the purpose of the tournament was to bring all the students and alums of the various schools together.
But that never was the case.
Nor is it the case that this brings us reasonably closer to a 2nd bid.
But as long as we're having it, I'll be there.

So you're saying the $55 seats actually put you closer to the action? Palestra, what's the play here...

Any seat is good. I just prefer a guaranteed number of inches and no knee in my back. Same as in the Palestra. But you really can't go wrong either way.

Lavietes Rows A-K are bleachers - first 10 rows.
Behind those seats are 4 to 6 rows of seatbacks.
There are courtside seats opposite the benches and at one end (under a basket).
No bad seats, although Rows A-C can require looking over benches, etc.
