Binghamton was picked 6th in the America East. They are led by Sam Sessoms, the last season's Rookie of the Year. They are an inexperienced team, which was picked 6th in the AE preseason poll.
In addition to graduates, the Bearcats lost 7 players from last year's team. Six have made other basketball decisions and Calistus Anyichie, tragically, drowned at nearby Buttermilk Falls State Park this July.

I know you pulled this from the pregame notes, but isn't everyone on the roster except Patel a "possible starter"?

Encouraging win to start the season. The BR outrebounded Bingo, moved the ball around well and shot well. Boeheim and Warren looked as you would expect, McBride was much more aggressive than last year and McCarty was a plausible replacement for Julian. I also thought the freshman Jones flashed well in his nine minutes. Depth after those guys is an issue, but I have a better feeling the guys will be competitive than I did last week.

A really nice win for Cornell. The big 3 may have played better than expected. Coach Earl was very pleased with Knapp's effort guarding Sessoms, who only scored 6 points.
KenPom had Cornell listed at 297 and Binghamton at 324 heading into the game. Good to see the Red win this in a big way.
Next up is Bryant on Sunday. Bryant is another 300+ team at KenPom, but they only lost by 2 to Brown at home. Then, they have tougher games against NJIT, DePaul and Syracuse.
