that the two big lineup is a myth perpetrated by the Illuminati to hold us all down.

Did you see the acres of space everyone had to move in the offense? We were held back by ground bound bigs who couldn't shoot.

This, my friends, is the beautiful game. And I'm not parking the bus and playing Route 1 football thank you very much. Berhalter forever!

Penn got outrebounded by 12 percentage points. The two big lineup isn't usually about the offensive end...

Did Berhalter forever not give it away?

Bingo. As I have said we need a top 75 offense OR a top 75 defense to have a chance to win the Ivy. Last night we scored 81 and won by 1. If we can beat people 85-82 I’m all for it. But its not the only way to be league champion.

Outrebounded 17-8 on the offensive boards - I think Bama had 5 shots on one 2nd half possession, The one worrisome thing from last night.

You have to ruin my good feelings about Penn Basketball with a Gregg Berhalter reference?

For shame.

We outscored Alabama 42-30 in the paint. I'll take that.

AJ will be ridiculously dominant in the Ivies this year. Need a second big man to step up, so he doesn't get those lead legs at the end of games.

We just need to get him 5 minutes of rest each game without a precipitous dropoff.

Yeah, Simmons was waving the red cape as Tide players drove the lane with impunity.

Couldn't agree more. Missing that bunny and short-arming those two free throws late in the game were a sure sign of fatigue.

Congrats to Penn!

Brodeur is something else. always has been throughout an illustrious career.

I still like Yales frontcourt as a group and they will be hell on the league if they stay healthy. But the issue for Yale is the other pieces which are fine if limited.

But the complement of some of these athletic Penn guards (pg, most notable) to Brodeur could be a great recipe for Penn to challenge Harvard for league supremacy. They showed me something. He just opens up things so much for them. nice flywheel.

Lastly nothing better than an Ivy beating an SEC team when you live in this territory. enjoy it. i will

I'm fairly certain Simmons tweaked something during that series you're referring to. He couldn't leave his feet and limped to the bench.

I'm not at all diminishing AJ to say that the Ivies will not overlook him and will game-plan around him much more than Oats. We saw that last year. I think we'll have better balance and depth to help this year.

For Mike James and others:

Please hold off for the moment on box score based analytics. Alabama was using a new stats system last night and there were problems. There are errors in the box score with respect to rebounds and turnovers.

Alabama is aware of the errors. Let's see if they issue a corrected box score.

I'm sure you are right Stu, but my eyes confirmed the offensive rebound counts. I wonder if this is why ESPN had trouble getting the score right all night.

Alabama should have four additional turnovers, two additional team offensive rebounds, and five additional team defensive rebounds.

Penn should have one fewer FGA (Brodeur), one fewer defensive rebound (Dingle), two additional turnovers (Dingle, Brodeur), two additional team offensive rebounds and four additional team defensive rebounds.

More errors may yet be found.
