We lost by 6 points I believe and Jeff Boschee played a great game against us. Luckily we got the win vs another top 10 squad in Temple a few days later. I can't believe that was only his junior year. I thought he graduated that year. Wow.

You threw me for a second, so I looked it up. The Kansas game was his senior season technically, but he came back for a 5th year. At that point he was a bit player since Jordan and Langel were seniors and Ugonna and Koko were impact freshmen. Frankie never emerged as more than a complementary player.

Yet he lives on in basketball board lore.

Well, medicine is better now. So before all of you put Michael in the crypt, I am wishing him well. Perhaps they are holding him out to not overwork. His career as a basketball player has few more years at Penn.

Agreed, we all presumably wish Wang well, but he did not practice during the week before the season opener. That doesn't sound like "holding him out to not overwork." It sounds like he's unable to play.

I guess I would rather have him ready for IVY play/BIG FIVE play and healthy. I would be less worried about being hurt now than in January. Beating Alabama is fun, but it will not get you in the tournament.

True, but it could help your seeding if you get in.
